A tummy tuck can give you the flat,

“Whether you have a little extra skin or are just sick of being asked, ‘How many months along are you?’, these tummy tucks will get your abdomen flat and toned. Do you have...
     •
Loose skin and/or weakened abdominal muscles from pregnancy?
     •
A stubborn bulge around your waistline that persists despite exercise and a healthy diet?
     •
Excess abdominal skin after weight loss?

Most of us would love to get a flat tummy through exercise alone, but the nature of some body types, as well as damage caused by pregnancy or yo-yo dieting can mean that no amount of exercise will give you the results you want.

We offer several types of tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) techniques to help you achieve a slimmer, flatter, and more toned waistline.

The Mommy Tuck

Motherhood is an amazing gift, but unfortunately, pregnancy can stretch, separate, and weaken the muscles in your abdomen. When you start getting sick of people asking if you are pregnant, you may want to do something about it. A mother of three herself, Dr. Cassileth thoroughly understands these issues and has great expertise in correcting them. Using her “Mommy Tuck” technique, Dr. Cassileth repairs the abdomen muscles and restores essential muscle tone. She can also improve the appearance of stretch marks, especially below the navel.

This endoscopic Mommy Tuck is ideal if you have separation of the abdominal muscles with minimal skin laxity. Using this technique, Dr. Cassileth works through a tiny incision in the bikini line to repair the abdominal muscles and restore muscle tone. You’ll enjoy a more beautiful, slimmer, flatter waistline.

Mini Tummy Tuck

The mini tummy tuck is the best technique for abdomens with a small amount of excess skin. Using a short incision, Dr. Cassileth removes the excess skin and often performs liposuction at the same time. She can also tighten the underlying muscles when needed. The result is a flat, smooth tummy that you can be proud of.

Full Tummy Tuck

The full tummy tuck is for abdomens with more excess skin. You will need a full tummy tuck if:

A full tummy tuck requires a “smile-shaped” incision, which Dr. Cassileth can ensure is hidden below your undergarments or bathing suit. In some cases, a second incision is needed around the belly button. Dr. Cassileth removes excess skin and fat, and expertly repositions the belly button. As a result, you’ll enjoy a much flatter tummy and a slimmer waistline.

Preparing for a tummy tuck

Dr. Cassileth will meet with you to personally discuss your goals and expectations. She will assess the muscles around your abdomen when sitting, lying down and standing, your skin laxity, and the amount of fat on the tissue. When you decide to proceed with a tummy tuck, you’ll be provided with detailed instructions on how to prepare for the procedure and how to get the best outcome.

What to expect after your tummy tuck

Full tummy tuck surgery generally takes 2-5 hours to perform. Following your procedure, you may be under medical supervision for one night at an aftercare facility or discharged to go home the same day.

After one week, you will return to Dr. Cassileth for a follow up visit. Most patients can choose to work after 7-14 days, but you will need to refrain from exercise and tasks that require lifting or other stress on the abdomen for about 6 weeks. Walking is a good idea because it increases blood flow, reduces swelling, and helps speed your recovery. Additional follow-up appointments will be scheduled at 30 days and 6 months.
